Abstract: Under the condition of open boundary, pedestrian evacuation dynamics in crossing exit is simulated through the lattice-gas model of biased random walkers without back step. When the longitudinal pedestrian density increases under the constant value of latitudinal pedestrian density, the jamming transitions occur at the longitudinal flow or latitudinal flow or both flows. Fixing the width of latitudinal route, the critical density is gained under different value of width of longitudinal route if the jamming transition occurs. It is shown that the longitudinal and latitudinal dynamical phase transitions present different patterns. The simulation result is helpful for the design of evacuation routes.
