(Science Press Beijing: Beijing) 1201-1207 Web link: Keywords: Lining,surface flame spread,room corner fire,full-scale test,time, Abstract: Lining materials are widely used in buildings to, cover walls and ceilings, and combustible linings may produce a potentially high fire hazard in buildings, which, once ignited, propagate fire and accelerate the enclosure fire growth. Focusing on the practical situation of lining materials in China, block board lining material was chosen. The test was conducted in the ISO 9705 room, which linings were mounted on walls only. By measuring important experimental data associated with the enclosure fire growth, including heat release rate, room temperatures, lining surface temperatures, the height of hot and cold smoke layer etc, the effects of lining surface on fire spread had been researched. The study not only investigated the effect of the lining on the enclosure fire growth in-depth, but also proposed useful experimental data for the further development of numerical modeling to simulate enclosure fire growth lined with combustible materials. |
