Abstract: Based on the result of coal's compression experiment, this paper presents the slide weakening model of coal and gas outburst, discusses the destabilizing and outburst conditions of the gas coal using the Dirichlet's minimum energy principle. By analyzing the critical conditions. and the actions of gas detail during the incubation and occurrence of coal and gas outburst, this paper gives an explanation to the present accuracy problem on the prediction of coal and gas outburst and presents the new additional prediction index in increasing the accuracy of prediction of coal and gas outburst. The path and methods of controlling coal and gas outburst are also analyzed on the mechanism of the slide weakening model of coal and gas outburst.
