Abstract: Time-dependent, reactive Navier-Stokes equations are employed in conjunction with detailed chemical reaction model to study three-dimensional detonation problems. Detonation wave propagation in straight tube, Z-shape tube and bifurcated tube are simulated. The results show that the current computer program can successfully simulate detonation wave propagation. Cellular detonation wave front is three dimensional, and Mach stem surface and leading shock surface join at triple wave surface. Detonation wave in Z-shape tube undergoes detonation attenuation, local failure, regular reflection, Mach reflection and detonation recuperation etc. Detonation wave in round bifurcated tube is more seriously distorted than that in rectangular bifurcated tube.
